  • Paul Pitman


    Paul is the founder and sole director of Pitman Properties. With over 40 years experience in the construction industry, Paul is the visionary that puts Pitman ahead of the field. He conceives, orchestrates designs and overseas all projects from conception to competition.

    Paul got his first taste of building by renovating a house in 1969 while studying Rural Science at the University of New England (graduated 1972). After receiving his builder’s license in the late 70s, Paul worked for NSW public works, department housing throughout Western and Central NSW, local councils and private companies including Permewans and other supermarket companies. Many of the projects are still regarded as treasured and important community buildings.

    Paul conceived his company in 1980, changing the name to Pitman Properties in 2004 after moving to Brisbane. Since then Paul has used his vast knowledge and experience to develop Pitmans into a fully integrated development company with a reputation for delivering value-creating, forward thinking projects. Having started in Brisbane with an 8 unit project in 2001, Paul has led Pitman’s to its current position in the Brisbane market, with 170 currently under construction and a further 200 for future development.

    The secret to Paul’s success is his ability to see beyond the current market, staying ahead of industry trends he continually places Pitmans in a position to plan for, and take advantage of, future markets. Paul is passionate about the quality of design and materials and is proud of the standards he has achieved for Pitmans. He and his wife, Noi, are active community volunteers and members of Kangaroo Point Uniting Church.

  • Jess Zhang

    General Manager and Company Secretary

    Jess joined the Pitman team as Financial Controller in 2006 after gaining her Bachelor of Accounting from QUT. Since then Jess has expanded her knowledge and expertise, becoming Pitman’s Head Accountant and taking over the general management of the company.

    Jess employs her vast skill base in the financial management of the Pitman Group, providing recommendations on investments and cash management strategies. She determines financial & marketing objectives through expert analysis of market research & trends and the review of development profit results.

    Jess is the back-bone of Pitman’s with her responsibilities reaching to human resource management; she is responsible for the selective hiring of the rest of Pitman’s productive and skilled team.  Jess is also an ASA of CPA Australia and a Justice of the Peace.

  • James Jefferies

    Project Manager

    James comes to Pitman Properties with over 30 years commercial Contracts Administration & Project Management experience. His extensive knowledge of and experience in analysing and negotiating high value commercial, Residential high rise, LNG and mining projects are an invaluable asset to the team.

    James’ background in Carpentry and Formwork, combined with Bond University Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting & Business Law, have assisted him in successfully executing thousands of contracts. Geared towards delivering projects that maximise profit and enhance client relationships, James’ detail orientated approach and passion for the industry enables his team to adhere to budgets and construction programs that ensure client satisfaction.

  • Ashley Bloomer


    Ashley has over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry and holds a Diploma of Building and Construction.

    Wide ranging national and international experience, including in remote and extreme conditions, has equipped Ashley with the capacity for strategic thought, adaptability and precision which help the Pitman site teams achieve seamless results.

    An energetic and results driven approach with a focus on safety allows him to skilfully co-ordinate Pitman construction sites and maximise outcomes.

  • Eliza Moson

    Executive Assistant

    Integral to the Pitman team since 2012, Eliza works across all divisions of the company to effectively and efficiently facilitate executive actions.

    Eliza assists the Director and each of the Pitman teams facilitating external relationships and ensuring effective workload management and support. Her varied skill set ensures efficient coordination of day-to-day office operations across a myriad of responsibilities including but not limited to product imports, post settlement building care, progressing contracts, material and human resource management, sales promotion and liaison and monitoring and reviewing the company’s online presence.

    Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Bachelor of Journalism since 2003, Eliza came to Pitman properties having honed her dynamic capacity for responsive problem solving and relationship building in roles such as hotel manager, NGO researcher, and human resources administrator.
